What makes this piece very unusual is underneath
the headrest there is a hollowed out cup with a wooden
stopped.This 'container' would have been used to
store valuable butter fat which is used to condition
the womans hair.

Finely constructed pot,thin walls with fine decoations
running to the head for the pot.Typical of Nyakusa
pots it has a lovely rich red swirl decoration around
the brim of the vessel.
